The Coulee Region Transitional Housing Ministry (CRTHM) is having a chili supper on Thursday March 22nd, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (corner of West Avenue and Division Streets). The cost is $6.00 and carry-outs are available.

CRTHM is a volunteer interfaith group with the purpose of raising funds that provide rental assistance to women as they transition from New Horizons Women’s Shelter to independent living. For tickets, contact Debbie Dukatz.

OSLC Youth To Sponsor Festival Foods Brat Barn On Aug. 13th

Want to help our Youth in a fun and tangible way? The Family and Youth Ministry Team is staffing the Festival Foods Brat Barn at Crossing Meadows in Onalaska on Saturday, August 13th from 9:00am – 7:00pm. We need you to help make this fundraiser a success.

Palm Sunday Breakfast is Sunday, April 17th

On Sunday, April 17th, the Our Savior’s Youth will be hosting their annual Palm Sunday Breakfast fundraiser from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and 10:00-11:00 a.m. This year we will be offering an egg bake casserole, sausages, fresh fruit, muffins, scones, juice, milk, and coffee. The cost will be a free will offering, and any funds collected will be used to support youth events throughout the year, including the summer mission trip. All are welcome!

Donations Needed for Annual Youth Palm Sunday Breakfast

Orange juice, sugar-free syrup, milk, chocolate milk, monetary donations for egg bake and sausages are just a few of the needed items for the Palm Sunday Breakfast on Sunday, April 17th. If you are able to help donate these needed items please stop by the sign-up sheets in the Welcome Center.

Please have all donations to the church by Saturday, April 16th, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a labeled “Youth Breakfast” box in the refrigerator and on the counter in the kitchen for donated supplies.

Butter Braids on Sale Sunday March 20th

Back by popular demand, the youth of OSLC will be taking orders for those delicious fruit-filled pastries starting Sunday, March 20th. The pastries are $11 each and come in eight mouth-watering flavors: Apple, Bavarian Crème with Chocolate Icing, Blueberry & Cream Cheese, Caramel Roll, Cherry, Cinnamon, Cream Cheese, and Raspberry. They come frozen and you thaw and bake them at home.

We will be taking orders until Sunday, April 3rd and delivery of the pastries will be on Sunday, April 17th, after worship in the Fellowship Hall…just in time for your special Easter gatherings! Watch for the display in the Fellowship Hall for more information and to order or contact Jessica Zinniel. All funds raised go towards youth events through out the year, including the youth mission trips this summer!

Fashion Cornucopia is October 30th, 2010

Plan now on attending the fabulous Women’s Clothes Closet fashion show fundraiser entitled “Fashion Cornucopia” taking place on Saturday, October 30th right here at OSLC! There will be two shows with the doors opening at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm for the luncheon and dinner shows respectively. Tickets are available at the church office for a minimal cost of $25.

The shows will feature fall and winter women fashions from La Crosse area businesses including:

Also, a “What to Buy Your Man” segment has been continued for this year. An exquisite meal of Italian cuisine will be provided by our own CFS Team. Live music will be featured by Josh & Kim Shively and Company and the WCC will be open for tours the day of the show

A table outside the fellowship hall will be set-up every Sunday to buy your tickets. Tickets are going fast, so be sure to get your ticket as soon as possible!

Delivery of the pastries will be on November 21st, after worship in the Fellowship Hall – just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Troop 13 Meatball and Lefse Supper October 23rd

Troop 13 Meatball and Lefse Supper is on Saturday, October 23rd. Serving will begin at 3 pm and continue until 7 pm. It will be family style and carry outs are available. Tickets will go on sale October 10th. Troop 13 is serving coffee fellowship that day. If you have any questions call Rich Pitz.

OSLC Serving Lefse at Oktoberfest Heritage Night

On Wednesday September 29th, Our Savior’s will be serving Norwegian Lefse Wraps (meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy wrapped up in a lefse) and pieces of lefse with butter and/or sugar at the annual Oktoberfest USA Heritage Night held at the La Crosse Center. The cost will be $4.00 and $1.00 respectively.

This year, Oktoberfest will NOT be requiring a button to get into this event. Please come and help support your church! The proceeds will go to the Come For Supper program to help fund on-going food purchases and supplies.
