Senior Pastor Joanne S. Richmond


Pastor Joanne is the 19th pastor to be called to ministry at Our Savior’s and started full time ministry on Saturday, July 1, 2017, preaching her first sermon as Senior Pastor on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

Pastor Joanne’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin; a Master of Divinity with Honors from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, Berkeley, California; and a Master of Public Policy, with an emphasis in Ethics from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Pastor Joanne began her ministry as an Associate Pastor at Westby-Coon Prairie and Vang Lutheran Churches in Westby, Wisconsin. She then served Good Shepherd Lutheran Church & Lutheran Campus Ministry in Houghton, Michigan. Later, she moved to Blair, Nebraska, called to serve as the College Pastor at Dana College. She also previously served as Executive Director of the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse and as a full-time instructor of Philosophy and interim Associate Dean/Assistant at Western Technical College.

Pastor Joanne lives on French Island with her wife, Jeanne Johnson and their 2 dogs and 2 cats.
